Herein, I'm grateful to give recognition to people who have contributed positively in Warrap State and South Sudan.
I dissected their contributions disseminated on Facebook and any other news medium globally, and I'm bedazzled by their works.
Dr John Apuruot Akech innovated university of Juba since he became the Vice Chancellor of that South Sudanese first institution. He positioned the University of Juba on East African map, the continent and the world, he deserve respect and gratitude. Before he returned home, I followed his educative penmanship on his blog space while he was in London, I have things i learned from him. When we take minutes to appreciate people, it strongly elevates them to do more. Dr. Akech is the true face of evolution in South Sudanese higher institutions, his work is monumental and had changed many lives. For my part, I felt encouraged, fascinated, and optimistic as the positivity occupied my heart and I want to motivate this individual for them to act developmentally.
In 1980s, one Rek Chief late Ayii Madut left Gogrial, Kuac area and joined the SPLA. He took his own sons and many people from his home Gogrial, he took a pumpy path, trekked to Ethiopia with these young people. The road to Ethiopia was perilous, but he guided them until they arrived in Ethiopia successfully and they found safety. Late Ayii Madut for those who knew him, was a man of the people, he resided surrounded by numerous people, family members, and those who needed guidance to stand on their own. During his journey to Ethiopia with young Boys, among them was his son, currently Dr. Ayii Isaac Ayii Madut, he was so young that he couldn't walk on his own, but got carried until the journey ended and they arrived in Ethiopia. Many of these young Boys started their bush Schools in Ethiopia, many parts of liberated South Sudanese towns, Kenya, and Uganda where Ayii graduated.
Dr. Ayii Ayii Madut, the founder of Ayii University was among boys who went to Ethiopia in 1980s, he's now transforming young generations. He would have build more hotels and apartments to get rich quicker, but refused and built education system that transformed and trained young generations. What more do we need than shaping lives in South Sudan?
Ayii University is one of accredited Universities in South Sudan . It was established in in 2014 as a middle level training college , The Juba Institute of Health Sciences before it changed to a fully fledged University in 2021.7 July 2022.
In my birthplace, a community initiative under Gogrial payam built first Secondary School in Gogrial town. It was under the leadership of Anyak Lual and joined by a number of people from Australia who contributed. Anyak Lual under his own capacity, deserved credit, he helped built Monydit first office and other primary schools I haven't recorded. His contributions is incredibly tremendous to our local denizens unless those who are not willing to educate their kids. If President Kiir Mayardit wanted the development to reach our local communities, he deserves a better position to help us through development initiatives.
Dr. Jok Madut Jok, he built Marol secondary school in Gogrial East and this School received donations from America through his dedication and commitment to help our neglected citizens. Dr. Jok Madut Jok grew up and educated during South Sudanese conflicts, he personally suffered and lost his cousins and brothers to this unforgettable conflicts history. Marol School will educate rare intelligent youngmen and women of Apuk, Gogrial East, our both communities and South Sudan. Dr Jok Madut is currently building another School in Pinydit Madut Akuei village, this delighted my heart and I will contribute one day. In 1990s, I reared cattle in that part of Apuk land, Lil Abyei Mawut was our best place to keep Cattle and hunt animals freely. If education system is brought to sons and daughters of Pinydit, we're all beneficial from this development.
In my daily life, I genuinely watch people who are changing many lives and appreciate them if I notice their good path. I don't need them to give me a job or money, I won't wasted time to be bribed, it's a daily activities among Junubiin folks who are corrupt. My uncle late Justice Agoth Makerdit Wek Agoth said this to me, my nephew, don't wait to be rich to show kindness to others, act of kindness is more better than what you owned". The quotes is now ingrained in my brain. Dr. Akech, your work mean so much to many young intellectuals of our nation, they'll paint their own path to develop South Sudan in so different ways. I truly salute you menh Raandit Wun Giir Thiik and Gogrial, our native birthplace, think about home and bring something home.
Valentino Achak Deng built one of the best Secondary School in Marialbai village supported by the Foundation he initiated in America. I first contacted him when I was in New Zealand many years ago and he felt delightful that I acknowledged his work. Achak Deng his participatory in Refugee youth activities in Kakums Kenya prepared him before he resettled in America. I knew that he'll do a lot to his own communities and South Sudan as a whole.
Brother Gabriel Bol Deng built Ariang Primary School in Awan Chan Nyal and that community Schooled many youngsters. Gabriel Bol Deng changed lives in Ariang village and surrounding areas, he's the icon in my home county. I met Gabriel Bol Deng in juba, in 2019 while on a home visit to South Sudan, he told me that his wife is still leading the management of a School project. I told him to build Secondary School if things goes well and he yearned for this future ambition.
Dr. John Akech, Dr. Ayii Ayii Madut, Dr. Jok Madut, Anyak Lual, Bol Deng, Achier Manyuat something needs to be done in Wau, Kuajok, Gogrial, Akon Luonyaker, and many parts of South Sudan. I honestly know that you have done so much, but we have a few of you who are thinking about community development, but not everyone.
Achier Manyuat built ST. LAWRENCE ACADEMY: NURSERY, PRIMARY, and SECONDARY is one of the best Schools in Juba. I met Achier Manyuat in a Nairobi Hotel with Uncle Bol-thi Wek Agoth and my younger brother, Akoon Madut. I saw these development initiatives through a momentary conversation we had for the first time. Creating business opportunities and educating young people at the same time bolster the economic system globally. I hope that such development is needed to reach our home base to improve local communities through learning and economic booming.
Achai Awet Alor, she's doing wonderful things, giving back to South Sudanese citizens without border. I never met her and no interactive happened between us on social media, I learned about her on Facebook. I oversaw this in 2006 while I watched Oprah Winfrey and Ellen Degeneres TV shows. Both international TV stars became successful and began helping people in America and global stage. Oprah Winfrey did built School in South Africa and sponsored many girls globally, Achai Awet Alor is doing the same in my country. Giving wheelchairs to crippled and disabled people mean so much throughout the globe, God will reward you. There are things she might have done, but what I truly mentioned above caught my attention and pushed me to give unlimited credit and appreciation. When you faithfully appreciate someone, you don't need them to give you anything in return, what they have done to others is extremely imperative. To put it in a simple way, not everyone have the heart to do something as a pure generosity in their own communities. Some people do it to make themselves known by the populace, but Achai has nothing to gain, but helping those in need makes essential sense.
An educational institution is not only a learner going to School and taking classes, but it also offers job opportunities and contributes highly to nation-building. Our people still can't afford to send their children to School, but this needs government involvement to pay teachers highly and make Schools completely free.
In conclusion, education is a lifelong learning system that will strongly change mortal lives globally.
